The iPhone 4S is not selling well in Europe, according to Reuters

iPhone 4S – A report published by Reuters moments ago is turning the web and it seems remarkable data set on the table. It focuses on iPhone 4S sales in continental Europe noting that the figures are not reaching the same levels as it does in other countries like UK, Australia or America.
The numbers speak for themselves, and have been revealed by research firm Kantar Worldpanel ComTech. Consider the countries where sales are going well, comparing its market share over the past three months (ending in November) with the fee had the iPhone in the same period in 2010.
   * U.S.: 25% of smartphone market share to 36% this year
   * UK: from 21% to 31%
Now compare those amounts with the figures they experience in other countries of the European Union:
   * Germany: The market share of Apple smartphone has fallen from 27% last year to 22% last quarter
   * France: from 29% to 20%
   * Spain and Italy show similar numbers but have not been specified
In this dynamic change is observed in the Android manufacturers, both Samsung and Motorola and others are attracting more customers by making their levels of market share reached 61% in Germany and exceed at least 46% in all other countries . What is the reason for this defeat Apple is experiencing trade in the old continent? Reuters highlights the economic situation in the euro area, which feeds especially in countries like Italy and Spain and to a lesser extent France and Germany.
It may be that this situation is affecting sales, especially when the Cupertino has a single model to offer, and expensive, compared to the dozens of alternatives that Android offers, sometimes at good prices. Also do not deny it, this pattern of sales will continue so, Android and iPhone will grow to fall in fee, it is one against 1000. Anyway, my point of view, this study ignores or does not deal with, some other causes of the low sales of Apple.
First and most important position, you are comparing different scenarios. Last year, the iPhone 4 was released to the world long before this year has made the iPhone 4S and that works against Apple. From June 2010 to October 2011 there is a world apart. Comparing three months ending in November 2011 with the overall levels of 2010, we find that the iPhone 4 had a very long journey in the last fiscal year, while the iPhone 4S is seeing the light and being known by the users now.
If you look at the attached graph you will notice that usually the sales and production numbers are down Apple well before launch, and take time to achieve a high rate after this. It is a logical behavior. Therefore we cannot pretend that the phone has got the block sold well in those months. United States and United Kingdom have noticed just because they are very prone regions Apple products but we should ask what would have happened if the iPhone 4S has been submitted in these two countries in June this year, the numbers would be staggering.
Also in September was a month with no benefit to Apple because the buzz around the iPhone 5, iPhone 4S was high and sales of the iPhone 4 is stopped. Kantar data probably do see the signature of the apple that the wait was too long and wrong, but do not know what was going on in there while we was Steve Jobs.
On the other hand, and secondly I think Apple is wrong to launch an iPhone 4S with Siri restricted to only some languages, leaving out the Italian and Spanish (Castilian), because in these countries there is great enthusiasm for the phone on the block but an English Siri does not attract attention when there is a huge database of owners of iPhone 4, why change if not?
In short, a more and like any other study that could be interpreted and manipulated at will. Less sales yes, but not two comparable stages. iPhone 4S
