Nokia today announced two new smartphones that run on the farm-fresh Symbian Belle; this Nokia 700 and Nokia 701 will be sometime in September according to the manufacturer for a reasonable price in the shops.

Both the Nokia 700 and Nokia 701 have an NFC chip and run on a new 1GHz processor. The Nokia 700 also has a 3.2-inch AMOLED display, 2GB of internal memory (expandable with microSD) and a 5 megapixel camera with HD video capture. The Nokia 700 will be approximately 340 euro’s will cost.

The Nokia 701 has a 3.5-inch clear black screen and uses noise reduction for clearer sound to be guaranteed. The smartphone is based on the design of the Nokia C7 and includes an 8 megapixel camera, front-facing camera and 8GB of internal memory that can be expanded via microSD. The 701 is going for about 360 euro’s in stores.

“With today’s announcements make it clear that Nokia Symbian continues to play an important role in the product next to Windows Phone 7,” said Nick McQuire IDC. “It clearly worked hard to innovate and improve this system.”

Besides the Nokia 700 and Nokia 701 will Belle Symbian also be available later this year for the Nokia N8, E6, E7, X7, C7, Nokia Oro and the C6-01. An exact release date Nokia 700 and Nokia 701 for the new operating system cannot yet give Nokia today.
